Pinning Messages to Timeline
Why Pin Messages?
Some messages contain important information you'll want to reference later:
- Agreements ("I'll pay for the braces")
- Commitments ("I'll pick up at 3pm every Wednesday")
- Concerning statements you want documented
- Positive moments you want to remember
How to Pin
- Find the message you want to pin
- Click the Pin icon (📌) next to the message
- A modal appears asking for:
- Category — Agreement, Medical, School, Concern, etc.
- Private notes — Your thoughts (only you see these)
- Related children — Which children does this concern?
- Click Save to Timeline
What Happens
- A Timeline entry is created with the message content
- The original message remains in the conversation
- Your private notes are only visible to you
- The message shows a "pinned" indicator
Pinning Entire Conversations
You can also pin an entire conversation thread if the whole discussion is significant.
