User Agreement

Effective Date: December 1, 2025
Last Updated: November 27, 2025

Important Notice

Please read this User Agreement ("Agreement") carefully before using CoParentCompass. By accessing or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

This Agreement is between you ("User," "You," or "Your") and Hamtown, LLC, doing business as Ready Families ("Company," "We," "Us," or "Our"), the operator of CoParentCompass (the "Service" or "Platform"). CoParentCompass is a comprehensive co-parenting coordination platform designed to help divorced or separated parents manage shared parenting responsibilities through structured communication, calendar coordination, expense tracking, document management, and related tools.

The Service is accessible via our website at coparentcompass.com and through our mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Service, you accept and agree to be bound by this Agreement, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that may apply to specific features or services.

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or via email at least thirty (30) days before the effective date, except where changes are required by law or for security purposes. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Agreement.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

2.1 General Eligibility

To use CoParentCompass, you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By registering for an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements and that all information you provide during registration is accurate, current, and complete.

2.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password and any authentication methods. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account credentials.

2.3 Account Information Accuracy

You agree to keep your account information accurate and up to date. If we determine that any information you provided is materially inaccurate, incomplete, or fraudulent, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2.4 Individual Accounts

Each account is for a single individual's use. You may not share your account credentials with any person other than as required for account recovery. If you wish to grant access to third parties (such as attorneys, mediators, or therapists), you must use the Professional Access feature rather than sharing your login credentials. Sharing your account credentials may compromise the integrity of your records and may result in account suspension.

3. Description of Service

3.1 Core Features

CoParentCompass provides co-parenting coordination tools including, but not limited to: (a) secure messaging with optional AI-powered tone analysis; (b) shared custody calendar with schedule management; (c) expense tracking with payment documentation; (d) document storage and sharing; (e) photo management; (f) personal timeline for private event documentation; and (g) dashboard overview of co-parenting activities.

3.2 Solo Mode Operation

CoParentCompass is designed to provide immediate value even when used by a single parent ("Solo Mode"). You may use the Platform independently to document events, track schedules, manage expenses, and maintain records regardless of whether your co-parent joins the Platform. When both parents are active users, additional coordination features become available.

3.3 Record Keeping and Documentation

The Platform is designed to create and maintain documentation that may be useful for legal proceedings. Records created through the Service include timestamps and are stored in formats designed to maintain integrity. However, We make no representations or warranties regarding the admissibility of any records in any court or legal proceeding, as such determinations are within the sole discretion of the applicable court or legal authority.

4. Subscription and Payment Terms

4.1 Subscription Plans

CoParentCompass offers various subscription plans ("Plans") with different features and pricing. Current Plans and their features are described on our website and may include Solo, Family, and Family+ tiers. By subscribing to a Plan, you agree to pay the applicable subscription fees plus any applicable taxes.

4.2 Family-Based Pricing

Our subscription pricing is family-based, meaning one subscription covers both co-parents and their shared children. This differs from per-parent pricing models used by some competitors. The subscribing parent is responsible for payment, and the co-parent may be invited to access the family account at no additional charge, subject to the terms of the applicable Plan.

4.3 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account settings or by contacting customer support. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Refund Policy

First-time subscribers may request a full refund within thirty (30) days of their initial subscription purchase. Refund requests for subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store must be directed to the respective platform. We do not provide refunds for renewed subscriptions, plan upgrades, or add-on features.

5. User Content and Data

5.1 User Content Ownership

You retain all ownership rights in any content, data, information, or materials you submit, upload, or transmit through the Service ("User Content"). User Content includes messages, calendar entries, expense records, documents, photos, timeline entries, and any other information you provide.

5.6 Immutable Records

Certain User Content, once submitted or shared, becomes part of an immutable record designed to maintain audit integrity. Messages sent to your co-parent, submitted expense requests, and certain other designated actions create permanent records that cannot be edited or deleted. This immutability is a core feature of the Service designed to support the documentation needs of co-parenting arrangements and potential legal proceedings.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) harass, threaten, abuse, or harm another person, including your co-parent or children; (b) upload or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or infringes on intellectual property rights; (c) impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation; (d) interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers; (e) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any accounts or systems; (f) use automated means to access or collect data from the Service; (g) violate any court order or legal obligation; or (h) engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.

7. Artificial Intelligence Features

IMPORTANT: AI Features use machine learning models that generate suggestions based on patterns in data. Output from AI Features may not always be accurate, complete, appropriate, or suitable for your specific situation. You are solely responsible for evaluating and deciding whether to use any AI-generated suggestions. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of any AI output.

We do not use your personal User Content to train general AI models shared with other customers. Any AI processing is performed solely to provide the AI Features to you.

17. Dispute Resolution

17.1 Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

17.2 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at legal@coparentcompass.com and attempt to resolve any dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days. Most disputes can be resolved through good faith discussions.

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.
